I/O是一个有趣的两极化作品。这里并不是说评论的两极化，而是指作品本身。几乎处处可见的两极分化就像是已经腐烂一半的蛋糕：即使你很讨厌腐烂的一边，你仍然愿意去尝试新鲜的那一半。

IO当然有许多属于优秀游戏的部分，包括剧透无数信息的精彩OP，E线陡然插入的to the moon影片，C线的短篇章节带来的递进式爆发，处处存在的文字游戏（Rem与Lem的谐音，向日葵与葵日向等等）。而作为一个悬疑向游戏，前期的四条线作为铺垫，相比BC线，AD线并没有提供了足够的紧张感——这就是第一个两极化。B线后期的危机感，C线的短章节切换爆发都凸显出了AD线让人难以接受的冗长。
